The Peace Home is the first Home established other than the Big Dorm. At the time of 2010, the children began to go to school and the Home began short of dormitory rooms. The cohorts recalled that God, in the early time of founding the Home, reminded the Home to extend to the village. Yet, renting villagers’ Home was not easy at all for it involved the complicated issues of tenancy agreements, and both the electrical and plumbing works had to be re-developed too. The idea of renting an additional Home, therefore, was temporarily put aside and the cohorts continued to pray for God’s guidance. Unexpectedly, there were villagers inviting the Home to rent a Home, which was same as the one our cohort literally dreamed of. As a result, the first Home was established!
At first, the Home was used for accommodating ordinary students who went to school outside. Now, it is used for boys with learning disabilities to reside in.
Life in the Peace Home
Like the other Homes, there is a ‘parent’ in the Peace Home who is responsible for supervising the children so that they can participate in community life, share the chores and learn to get rid of egoism which was formed during the past wanderings. Meanwhile, living in the Home helps them to improve their ability of self-care. Teaching them the sense of hygienic living, the chore work such as cooking and washing help children to be independent.

When walking near the Peace Home, probably you will find a few boys over the short wall waving hands to you. After a few steps, you will meet them at the open space in front of the Home.

On the walls of the Home, there are colourful paintings for decoration. During weekends, the kids like to gather in the living room to watch movies. | ![]() Children sleep in bunk beds. This is the bathing room. When the boys first arrive the Home, they were messy. Yet, now they can clean themselves with self-discipline and help to do the washing. All these are the fruits of teaching with patience by the ‘parent’ and teacher.

The ‘parent’ of Peace Home organizes a scheme called ‘little chefs,’ in which the children are taught to cook. Everyone learns different steps of cooking—washing, cutting and cooking—respectively. This scheme trains the kids for collaboration and self-reliance.
